August 10, 2006 ㅡ After years of deliberation and much industry speculation, U.S. telecom firm Sprint Nextel selected mobile WiMAX, whose technology was developed by Samsung Electronics, for its wireless high-speed Internet infrastructure for millions of subscribers across the United States. The service will be available in most of the United States."
